Karwa Chauth is a Traditional Hindu Festival.

Karwa Chauth is a great festival which is full of colors, enjoyable and energetic. It brings the married couples closer, and the person who is also already engaged to their loved ones, especially married couples have a beautiful strong bond with each other. In this year it falls on 19th October 2016 which come nearest to the diwali. This festival is celebrated with traditional, cultural and social significance from the ancient periods. On that day Married Hindu women of India take fast from sunrise to moonrise on this special day "karwa chauth"  they take the traditional sarees or lehenga  with solah shringar and pray for their husbands for long life.




On that special day every women on morning apply the beautiful henna designs in their hands and fully dressed  up for the festival. After that the they take the traditional meal called ‘sargi’, which women take the fast for the whole day. When evening comes closer , every women gather in a house where puja held or go to the nearby temple for Karwa Chauth puja celebration.

On that temple or home the pandit reads the Karwa Chauth Katha (story) which is specially for this festival. The Puja thali is decorated with beautiful flowers and a large jug which is filled with water and placed in the center. Every women sit in a round and listen the story continues, and women's circulate their puja thalis. After the puja complete, this puja thali is handed to eldest member of the family who blessed every woman to get all the happiness in her entire life.
